210 Dental ClinicPlain answers about teeth

A small network of practices, and a cabinet of clear explanations for the things people only half-remember from the chair. Open any plate below.

The cabinet

Eight plates. Each one answers a question properly rather than quickly. Nothing here replaces seeing a dentist, and nothing here is trying to sell you anything.

Two minutes, and why it is not generous

The NHS asks for two minutes, twice a day. That sounds like a lot when you are standing at the sink at half past six in the morning. It is not. A full adult mouth has far more to clean than most people picture, and the arithmetic below is the whole argument for technique over effort.

What this is not: an assessment of your mouth, a diagnosis, or a substitute for an examination. It counts tooth surfaces in a textbook adult dentition and divides. Your own mouth may have fewer teeth, crowns, bridges or implants, all of which change the sums and none of which this page knows about.

The practices

210 Dental Clinic is a small network rather than a single surgery, which mostly matters for one reason: you should be able to be seen at whichever of them is convenient, with the same notes, the same standards and the same explanation of what is going on.

Told before treatedWhat is wrong, what the options are, what each costs, and what happens if you do nothing. Then you decide.
No upsellingNobody here is working to a target for whitening or veneers. If a filling is the right answer, you get a filling.
Prevention firstThe cheapest dentistry is the appointment where nothing needed doing. Hygiene advice is given properly, not as an afterthought.

Ivorwyn Oral Care

An app for the two minutes themselves. A timer that walks you round your mouth a quarter at a time, a plain-language library of the same subjects as the cabinet above, a routine log that quietly builds into a calendar of habits, and a nudge when a brush head is three months old. There is a calmer section for children with a timer of their own.

Guided two minutesUpper left, upper right, lower left, lower right — a change of pattern tells you when to move on.
Spit, don't rinseA quiet reminder at the end of each brush, which is the one habit most people are surprised by.
A map of the mouthEvery tooth named, with what it is actually for. Plus a glossary for words you half-caught at a check-up.
Myths, testedWhitening, sensitivity and sugar, with the common beliefs set against what is actually known.

Ivorwyn shares general information and is not a substitute for professional care. It is also deliberately separate from your dental record — it holds your habits, not your notes, and its privacy notice is written as a wall between the two.
